Always lock the door when you are the last person to leave the room

Well that makes me something other than a person now doesn't it? This mess of a room has been under my occupation for the last year and a half, even the bloody birds know that.  Still, every time a student enters to take something from this room they do not forget to lock it. They enter the room, say their prayers "shitsureishimasu" (means I have shat [implying please forgive]), and then lock the door! This has never happened to me before, so it took me a year and a half to get over the shock. Next time somebody does that I am making a noise.

I seem to have an aura of authority for approving others' achievements here. By no means I try to emanate such signals, but I must do because I am constantly approached by students who ask for my praise. Most of them exclusively approach me to tell me about their most recent accomplishment and fly off after a pat on the back.
